What's Happening With Spacedock's Inhabitants

On Spacedock

Space Station McKinley, or Spacedock, seems to have fully recovered since the bombing that took place aboard a few weeks ago. Commander Shavab reports that efficiency has reached record highs. Commander Shevab has also overcome some derision in his department that was brought about by his stern leadership with a party to celebrate their success. This plan seems to have worked since his department seems to be receiving him with greater warmth.

The Brotherhood of Humanity, a secret pro-Earth/pro-human group, has made some inroads on the station since the recent bombing. A cell lead by Richard Bates has sent a team up to do some research on the Council. Originally, the team was made up of Jaime Mathews, but she has been joined by Chase Eldin in recent days. With the help of Sam Waterson, they are preparing to meet with their first set of interviewees: the Aqualish and the Klingons.

On another front with the Brotherhood, Commander K'Tael, Commander Calinda Wilson, and Captain David Boulay have returned to Spacedock with the prisoner Hans Jorgensen and his lawyer, Ms. Moiraine. This was not done without difficulty since the Brotherhood attacked the transport vessels with a small armada. Fornutely, the attack failed and led to a number of new prisoners. The attacking vessels confirmed the ID of an earlier attacking ship as being part of the Brotherhood. K'Tael, his team, some crewmembers of the Centurian are meeting with Admirals Smallwood and t'Llhweiir about the possibility of a Brotherhood leak.

The Intelligence department has been investigating Richard Bates of San Francisco of being involved with an earlier attack on the Back River, a Runabout that was being used by Commander K'Tael and his team to reach Mars to speak with Jorgensen. Bates is from a family with deep roots in the wine industry of California, and his ship, the Pride of Humanity, has been ID'd as being the attacking vessel.

Elsewhere in the Sol System, a team of Spacedock crew members have been sent to investigate the disappearance of Gabriel Ares and Janice Howser, a pair of scientists from Station Kerry on Io, one of the moons of Jupiter. The team led by Assistant Security Chief Aravis Holt and including Lieutenant Knucklebiter, and Doctor Hilda Ingolsdottir has learned that the pair was pulled through a mysterious transporter system that uses biologically-based technology. They followed through the transporter system and found a facility where the two scientists were being held. The team was able to free the scientists, but not without alerting the human inhabitents of the facility. The also found and recovered an unknown woman in a cryogenic freezer. The team has returned to Io with their newly liberated companions.

Back on the station, Commander Shevab has had a visitor who seems out to get him. The visitor, named "Adam" has locked himself with the Horta in his own office and seems out to make a point about non-humans being in the Sol System. Celine LaLune-Ares, the newest member of the Engineering team was answering a secret call for help from her superior, but has been sent away with a secret message.

The Security Department has a new members settling in. His name is Geb Breknor, and he is fresh out of the Academy. After having his first dinner aboard the station with Commander Audra Firehawk and Counselor Kirk, he woke up for his first day at work. He is waiting to speak with Commander K'Tael about his new assignment.

On a lighter note, Counselor Joanna Kirk and Captain David Boulay have been getting closer. In fact, Boulay kissed her for the first time, which led them to wonder where their relationship was going and if she should consider to see him in a professional manner.

At Starfleet Command

Commander Stephen Liridian has been continuing his research into the mysterious communicator that was brought to the Intelligence Department by Selara D'amondra. Evidence has shown that it belonged to an officer serving aboard a missing Starfleet starship. The ship and its crew is among a series of ships that have been missing for a number of years. Testing has shown that the communicator is not only programed for a particular owner, but also has DNA evidence indicating that it was in fact worn by that officer. The question is how did the communicator end up on Gortos and what happened to the ship and crew?

Admiral Jared Jackson continues to look into the mysterious police action that has been taking place under the command of Admiral Van Der Loo. He was originally brought into the case after Captain David Boulay was captured by "rebel" forces on the planet during a mission. A number of questions arose after the incident. Admiral Jackson has since spoken with Counselor Joanna Kirk of Spacedock, who is treating Captain Boulay; Admiral Van Der Loo; and Colonel Stark, who is leading Starfleet's forces on the planet.

Admiral Lorin Renaud is meeting with a committee of the Federation Council in his role as head of Starfleet Research and Development. The committee members have not been easy on him, but he seems to be making headway.

Admirals t'Llhweiir and Matthew Brennan had a secret wedding on Hawai'i, which was attended by a number of family members, close friends, and one really persistent journalist.

Special Operations

The felinids captured by Admiral Kitanya is still being held by the join Starfleet/Klingon force. Captain Tr'Lawsh of Cait and Commander Daphne Ares have been investigating their background. After speaking with General Traknor, the leader of the felinid forces, they have learned that the felinids have an ancestry that leads back to Cait. The fore-fathers and -mothers were taken from Caitian ships and colonies by a "Care Taker" race and genetically engineered to serve their purposes. Ares and Tr'Lawsh have learned of secret underground in the felinid people that is hoping to gain freedom from their oppressors.

With the Council

The Diplomatic Council is continuing its research into the mysterious whereabouts of former Ambassador Golan Dulath of the Cardassian Union. According to Central Command on Cardassia Prime and Ambassador Melora Damesh, Mr. Dulath has taken a position as Chair of Political Science at the main university in the capital. This goes agains information that Ambassador James Watson has come across. The Council will be sending a team of representatives to Cardassia Prime when their transportation, which is being provided by the Klingon Empire, arrives.

The Council members are currently attending a welcoming reception for General A'amon, the new leader of the Venasian Commonwealth. He has arrived with his staff, which includes former-Tremea Celena Sol D'amondra, but there is something not-quite-right about the Tremea.

The Council is also awaiting the arrival of the representative of its newest member, the Emissary Korin Marconis. His transport is due to arrive within the day.

Aboard the Centurian

The Centurian has recently been appointed to Spacedock. This was in an attempt to make sure that the station had ready access to a larger vessel whenever one was necessary. The ship has just returned from aiding Commander K'Tael in a prisoner transport from Mars. Fortunately, the Centurian was there because a large force of ships attacked Commander K'Tael's Runabout. Captain Colin Fitzgerald and his tactical officer Lieutenant Commander Arial Ares are joining a briefing of officers involved in the incident to go over what happened.
